Complete automation of Human Resources processes generates efficient management, more agility, saving and transparency for the state public administration in Bahia

Challenge

Driven by technology innovations, companies of all sizes and segments are finding new ways to maximize their business strategies. But it is not just the corporate world that is benefiting from the digital transformation. The public sector has also been working to increase the intelligence of its operations and reduce costs.

Solution

Created in partnership with the Administration Office of the State of Bahia (SAEB), the RH Bahia project promotes the almost complete automation of all processes in the Human Resources department of the government of Bahia. For the realization of the project, the starting point of the action was the implementation of SAP HCM (Human Capital Management).

Results

The automation of the system brings agility and reduces the risk of possible human failures in the administration, transfer and conference of data. For the government, the automation of processes represents an important savings in processes related to career management and payroll, facilitating, among other things, the detection of errors and possible fraud. The tool automates more than 90% of the State’s HR processes and preliminary analyzes indicate that the productivity gain reaches more than 10%, in the total of activities carried out by the sector’s administration.

The benefits are also reflected in the employees’ daily lives. Nowadays, a civil servant can request their retirement or request access to benefits much more quickly, reducing the time for completion of services and the cost associated with each new process. Before this solution was implemented, the entire process was done manually, through paper documents that needed to be sent between each of the offices and departments.

To achieve the said result, the project went through stages of customization and development, aligning the need for fulfillment the laws and the different requirements and standards in relation to the data of civil servants.
